AIDE “Show and Tell” Workshop: AI for Beginners

On Monday, January 15, 2024, the newest program at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering (AIDE), hosted a "Show and Tell" workshop specifically designed for high school students.  

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Asst. Prof. Dr. Özge Büyükdağlı, the AIDE Program Coordinator. In her opening address, she not only shed light on the IT sector's role in Bosnia and Herzegovina but also emphasized its significance for the future engineers and labor market. Dr. Büyükdağlı outlined the numerous opportunities IUS offers to its students.

In addition, two IUS students, Ms. Soundharya Parashuram, a Master's student and Scholarship Assistant, and Mr. Şükrü Görkem Okur, a Bachelor's student, presented the fundamental applications of Artificial Intelligence in our daily lives as well as their own AI projects. The high school students learned about the innovative work these students have pursued throughout their studies at IUS.
