Dr. Büyükdağlı Promotes Sustainability and AI Research at International Training Week in Poland

As part of the Erasmus+ mobility program, Associate Professor Dr. Özge Büyükdağlı from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) recently participated in the 15th International Staff Training Week hosted by the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, Poland.

The event, held under the theme “Sustainable University: Balancing Innovation and Responsibility in Higher Education,” brought together 43 participants from 24 countries, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and networking on sustainability practices in higher education.

Dr. Büyükdağlı delivered a lecture on Operations Research in the Era of Artificial Intelligence, focusing on applications of OR techniques that support sustainable development goals. She also presented best practices from IUS in integrating sustainability into education, operations, and institutional planning, as part of her role in the university’s SDG Executive Committee.
