Exploring the Future: Inside IUS's Open Day for IT Programs
On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) opened its doors to prospective students for an exclusive Open Day event focused on the exciting field of Information Technology (IT). Designed specifically for those who participated in the scholarship exam in March and are considering pursuing one of our IT programs, the event provided a glimpse into the vibrant academic life at IUS.
The students were warmly welcomed to our campus, where they embarked on a journey to discover the rich opportunities that await them as future IUS students. The visitors enjoyed a comprehensive tour showcasing our state-of-the-art facilities and resources available to support their academic journey.
A highlight of the day was the opportunity to engage with Program Coordinators, who provided valuable insights into the IT programs: Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering, Software Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. Prospective students gained invaluable knowledge about the curriculum, career prospects, and the dynamic learning environment at IUS.
In addition to exploring academic offerings, guests were treated to an insightful lecture titled "Software Development in Medicine" as part of our renowned "FENS Talks" series. Delivered by the IUS alumnus Mr. Ali Zaimović, a distinguished software engineer, the seminar focused on the intersection of software development and healthcare, offering a glimpse into the transformative potential of technology in medicine.
To cap off the day, students participated in a sample class titled "Introduction to Programming," providing them with a firsthand experience of our engaging classroom environment and innovative teaching methods. Through interactive discussions and hands-on activities, they gained a taste of the dynamic learning experience that awaits them at IUS.
