FENS TALKS: IUS IT PhD Students Share Industry Experience
On Monday, June 2, 2025, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) hosted a FENS TALKS session featuring three PhD candidates from the IT program who are also active professionals in the tech industry. The event aimed to bridge academic research with practical applications, offering valuable insights to IT students.
Ms. Farah Memić, Software Developer and Control Engineer at DV Power, presented “Battery Testing and Recycling for a Sustainable Future.” She discussed the technical aspects of battery testing and its critical role in advancing sustainability goals.
Mr. Anes Hadžiomerović, Founder and CEO of CERIT (Center for Education, Robotics, Innovation, and Technology), delivered a talk titled “Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Road to Robotic Excellence.” His presentation highlighted developments in robotics education and local initiatives promoting innovation in the field.
Mr. Mirza Selimović, Software Engineer at Reeinvent, presented “Revolutionizing Software Development Using AI.” He shared practical insights into the integration of AI tools in real-world software development.
The session showcased how doctoral research can align with and enhance industry practices, inspiring students to explore the dynamic relationship between academia and the tech sector.
