Fortinet Expert Delivers Cybersecurity Talk at IUS: Zero Trust, Zero Downtime
On Monday, May 26, 2025, as part of the FENS Talks series, and organized within the Computer and Network Security course and taught by Assistant Professor Dr. Amal Mersni, the IT programs at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) welcomed Mr. Adnan Švraka, Team Lead for Systems Engineering at Fortinet, for a guest lecture titled “Zero Trust, Zero Downtime: Securing Your Business Continuity with ZTNA.”
The lecture provided students with valuable insights into Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) - a cutting-edge cybersecurity model designed to safeguard access and ensure continuous business operations. Mr. Švraka’s presentation included a live demonstration, showcasing the practical application of ZTNA principles in real-world security infrastructures.
The Fortinet Network Security Academy (FNSA) was launched at IUS last semester. This initiative provides students with access to industry-recognized learning materials, labs, and certification pathways, helping to prepare them for careers in the rapidly growing field of cybersecurity. The collaboration between Fortinet and the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) reflects IUS’s strong commitment to aligning academic programs with industry standards and professional practice.
We extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Švraka and Fortinet for their ongoing support in advancing cybersecurity education at IUS.
