IUS and Kodeks d.o.o. Sign MoU Strengthening Industry-Academia Collaboration

On Monday, June 30, 2025, the representative of Kodeks d.o.o., CEO Mr. Muris Čeljo, visited the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). He was welcomed by the IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Amal Mersni, Program Coordinator of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) study program. Building upon previous successful cooperation involving hands-on student training and graduation projects, the purpose of the visit was to formally enhance this collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This MoU sets a clear framework for further cooperation, particularly emphasizing student internships, practical hands-on training, professional certifications, and collaborative research and development activities. IUS will continue to deliver strong academic foundations and theoretical expertise, while Kodeks d.o.o. will support students with valuable practical experience and internship opportunities, preparing them effectively for careers in the IT industry.

The agreement also encourages the joint organization of events, workshops, and professional development sessions, helping IUS staff and students remain closely aligned with current trends and innovations in technology and cybersecurity.

Implementation of this MoU will be managed by a joint working group responsible for identifying, supervising, and evaluating collaborative projects, ensuring mutual benefit and sustainable growth of industry-academic relations.
