IUS Signs New MoU with Google Developer Group Sarajevo
The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is pleased to announce the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Google Developer Group (GDG) Sarajevo. This partnership marks another important milestone in IUS’s continuous efforts to empower students through industry collaboration, technological innovation, and community engagement.
The agreement was signed by IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, and Mr. Kemal Čolović, Founder and Community Lead of GDG Sarajevo. The meeting was also attended by Associate Prof. Dr. Özge Büyükdağlı, Assistant Prof. Dr. Amal Mersni, and Associate Prof. Dr. Tarik Namas, Vice Rector for Academic Activities and Students’ Affairs.
GDG Sarajevo is one of the most dynamic technology communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region, actively connecting developers, industry experts, and technology enthusiasts through meetups, workshops, and large-scale events. The newly signed MoU aims to create new opportunities for IUS students to participate in GDG activities, engage with the latest Google technologies, gain hands-on project experience, and expand their professional networks.
This partnership reflects IUS’s strong commitment to bridging academia and the technology ecosystem, supporting student talent, and fostering innovation across key IT fields, including software engineering, artificial intelligence, data engineering, and cloud systems.
Through this collaboration, IUS and GDG Sarajevo will work together to develop meaningful events and learning experiences that benefit students, the university, and the broader tech community - representing another strong step forward in positioning Sarajevo as a regional hub for innovation and technological development.
