IUS Strengthens Tech Partnerships with New MoU Signed with System Verification and Reeinvent

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is pleased to announce the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two leading software companies in Sarajevo’s dynamic tech ecosystem: System Verification BH and Reeinvent. This partnership represents an important step in strengthening industry–academia collaboration, expanding opportunities for students and faculty, and aligning IUS programs with the latest technological advancements.

The MoU was signed by IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, Ms. Ena Preljević, CEO of Reeinvent BiH, and Ms. Kadira Šubo, CEO of System Verification BiH. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Naida Gego from System Verification - an IUS alumna - along with Mr. Mirza Selimović from Reeinvent – also an IUS alumnus, and IUS IT Programs Coordinators Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özge Büyükdağlı and Asst. Prof. Dr. Amal Mersni. Their presence highlighted the strong and longstanding connection between IUS and the local tech industry.

The agreement sets the foundation for cooperation across several key areas: internship and training opportunities for students, support for graduation projects, joint research and development initiatives, curriculum enhancement aligned with industry needs, and the organization of workshops, seminars, and guest lectures. Through this partnership, IUS aims to provide students with direct exposure to real-world engineering environments while fostering new avenues for innovation and applied research.

This collaboration carries particular importance for IUS, as it not only strengthens the bridge between academia and industry but also ensures that our students and researchers remain closely connected to the demands, expectations, and future directions of the software engineering field. By partnering with two influential companies in Sarajevo’s IT ecosystem, IUS continues to cultivate an environment where education, research, and professional practice reinforce one another - offering students a clear pathway from university to successful and impactful careers.
